Email Marketing: Saving Trees
In my opinion, email is better for the environment, but not for people. I don't think it is any better than direct mail. Email doesn't use any paper, ink, or fuel to transport which is great for the environment. Sure, it's a quicker and easier way to communicate, but it's not always secure. Emails are constantly targeted for spamming, which cuts down the reliability. Everyone also says that email is cheap, which is true, but I disagree. You have to be able to afford a computer if you want to use email, which isn't very cheap. But there are other forms of communication that are similar to email as well, including texting, and calling. Once again, you have to be able to afford a phone for this to happen. Overall, by using email it definately cuts down on the use of trees and gas, but it also includes the need of internet, which not everybody can afford.
